Let’s Redefine our Sundays
For some of us, we face an inevitable dread on Sunday afternoons (a.k.a. the onset of the Sunday Scaries). From that moment, we begin mourning the weekend and bracing ourselves for a busy week ahead. But, enough is enough! We’re here to take back our well-deserved weekends – by redefining what Sunday stands for.
It’s the journey from scaries to self-care – and what better time to start than in May, better known as Mental Health Awareness Month. Some might even say we manifested it because we’re excited to announce that Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas just launched its new Self-Care Sunday program at CocoWalk.
To set the scene for Self-Care Sunday, picture this: moviegoers are greeted with a complimentary gold-infused eye mask from vegan, cruelty-free retailer Grace & Stella, a serving of gourmet popcorn, and every experience begins with an in-theater mindfulness meditation led by Psychological Technologies (PSYT).
To help you feel even more zen-tered, Cinepolis also curated a specialty wellness menu, which includes Sati-CBD Sodas infused with hemp and non-alcoholic Hella Cocktail Co. Aromatic Bitters & Sodas – all of which can be delivered to your reclining leather seat with the push of a button.
If we haven’t sold you yet, we’ll leave you with this – it’s been scientifically proven that going to the movies improves your mental health. Research revealed that a two-hour, in-theatre film experience can improve heart rate, brain function, focus, and productivity, underpinning greater positive impacts on overall mental health and wellbeing.
Self-Care Sunday might just be a tough act to follow.
See you at the movies!
